Oh, Yves how i love you so. This loox so good. All those ingredients... i'm much too lazy to do all that work but i'm enjoying your artistry and wishing someday i might not be such a flake in the kitchen!

GREAT STUFF!

That sounds delicious- is that a portugese or brazilian dish that would normally come with ten kinds of meat & organs?

And mangoes & citrus goes with everything- yum!

This looks beautiful! I really like the plating here.

Have you thought of doing some kind of rating system, similar to Vegan Lunch Box? I'm curious about how you feel the meals turned out.

Best,

This is the first time in my life, but the second time in one day, that I have read about the existence of vegan feijoada (the first was a recipe frm vegetarian times). I must say that I am quite intrigued.

I love Yves, too, Kleo. It actually wasn't too difficult. Some chopping, some sauteeing, but probably less difficult than making chili.

Vko, yes is a Brazilian dish (although apparently there are Angolan versions as well, probably also Portuguese versions, but I dunno). And yes, apparently the meat and the organs are very important. I couldn't replicate the organs, though. :(

Thanks, Lauren. I've thought about rating, but then I'd be rating my own work (not so objective). Sometimes I'll have ideas on how a dish could be improved, but I usually post those in the comments. For the most part, I'm usually pretty happy about how they turn out -- or I don't post them! :)

Bazu, feijoada is basically bean stew. It's not all that dissimilar from chili or cassoulet or any of the other standard bean stews I've had, but it was still yummy!
