Vegan chili (tomatoes, lentils, peas, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, coriander, cumin, and cheese (nutritional yeast) fries. Chili and cheese (usually nacho cheese) fries were very popular in Chicago when I was growing up. This is a vegan recreation of the dish.
This is an outstanding dish! I am not vegan but my son was a vegan for three years and I had to learn a whole new cuisine. To get to the point, I still cook for some of his vegan friends occasionally so this will be a PERFECT new dish to add. I made some last night and I have to say we all dived in and it was finished in about ten minutes flat! Congratulations.u
For an even quicker version of this recipe, I use Annie's brand canned chili. It's vegetarian and tastes great. Although homemade always tastes better, it will work in a pinch!
This recipe looks and sounds delicious. It looks so filling and fun to eat, I really like how you veganized it :D.
We'd like to invite you to participate in our September apple and peach recipe contest (the recipe can be sweet or savory). All competitors will be eligible to win one of three prizes :)! Please email me, sophiekiblogger@gmail.com, if you're interested.
